Organization Effectiveness Survey


The competencies measured in the COER survey underpin our overall working theory: for an organization to be effective it needs to be clear about its direction (Consideration), certain of its delivery capacity (Contribution), have an adaptive and supportive culture (Cooperation), while showing a willingness to take risks (Courage) and, most importantly, to realistically assess its outcomes (Completion). These areas are interdependent, each affecting the other.

The COER survey assesses the level of efficiency within a company, revealing the level of integration amongst its members while Identifying positive supporting factors and highlighting integrative gaps that need focus and repair.

A comprehensive report following this analysis includes:

  • An executive summary

  • Methodology – explanation of the methods used to arrive at each conclusion

  • Detailed overall competency of the group or company – a generalization

  • Analysis of specific sub-factors including gender, age, length of service, and organizational skill levels

  • Assessments of each individual’s competency

  • Recommendations


Strategic planning:


Amarna designs a strategic plan from the surveyed data then works with the CEO and executive team to achieve a clear business outcome for each phase of the enterprise, including consistent accountability at every stage as the strategy is executed.

We address staffing talent and apply productivity training to keep processes and procedures lean.


Portfolio Development:


Amarna helps clients develop and execute aggressive, targeted plans of action for the first 100 days, post-closing, to capture near-term opportunities and ensure the success of their investment. Beyond that, our support is focused on near-medium term improvement models, all developed with an exit strategy. Aimed at transforming the functional performance of portfolio companies in high-impact areas. Projects are customized, with scale and timing driven by client needs. Our services range from rapid business assessments to the rapid and comprehensive turnaround of products, with emphasis on performance, redesign if necessary, and general operations.

  • Exit support: We help company owners prepare for a maximum-value exit using a three-phase support model that covers planning, preparation, and execution, inclusive of auctions and initial public offerings. We work with clients to develop and communicate clear and coherent business plans to lenders and financiers.

  • Firm strategy and development: We help clients make strategic choices to increase overall performance, including how to establish a competitive position, attract and adapt investments and continuing to develop a cohesive strategy as the structure evolves. All the while, we support improvements in operations, including risk management and business support functions.

  • For challenging cases, including distressed companies and underperforming business units, we advise on critical decisions to create an efficient process, maximizing productivity while reducing the labor force and, in some cases, closing the business to liquidate assets.
